Website design in Ennis

Ennis was laid out long before anyone owned a car, and its centre still shows it: O’Connell Street and Abbey Street winding with the Fergus, Parnell Street and High Street behind them, and the lanes between so narrow that two people with shopping bags have to negotiate. The O’Connell Monument stands at the top of the street, the Friary is a few steps from the river, and the Saturday market and the Fleadh Nua every May fill the streets with people. Around that old core is a county town with a hospital, the council, the courts, a train station with services to Limerick and Galway, the M18 running past and Shannon Airport a short drive down it.

Website design in Ennis is for the shops and services in those lanes, for the practices and offices on Bindon Street and around the courthouse, and for the trades whose vans are parked out in Clarecastle and the Lahinch road estates. We are based in Dublin and we work with Ennis businesses remotely, over a video call and WhatsApp, with the site built from the photos and details you send. We have no office in Ennis, and there is no need for one.

The lanes reward a decision made in advance

The centre of Ennis is not somewhere you drive through and notice a shop. You park, you walk in, and you go where you had already decided to go. That decision is made on a phone: “barber Ennis”, “jeweller Ennis”, “physio Ennis”, or the name of a shop somebody mentioned, searched to find out whether it is open and where exactly it is. A page that says which lane you are on, which car park is nearest and what your hours are today is the thing that gets a person out of the car on the right side of town. A listing with last year’s hours sends them to the retail parks on the edge.

Music as a trade

Ennis is a music town in the practical sense. Music teachers, instrument repairers, session pubs, dance schools and the people who organise the sessions have customers who range from a child in Clarecastle starting the fiddle to a visitor from Chicago planning a week around the Fleadh. The teachers in particular tend to run on word of mouth and a Facebook page, and lose the family who moved to Ennis in August and searched “fiddle lessons Ennis” to whoever had a page.

The county town’s practices and offices

Solicitors, accountants, dentists, estate agents, insurance brokers and architects in Ennis serve the whole county, and a client in Kilrush or Scarriff who has been given a name looks it up before ringing. A plain page with who you are, what you do, what the first appointment costs where that can be said, and where to park answers the question the referral started. The Google Business Profile should match it line for line, with the V95 Eircode written the same way in both.

Trades out the Limerick and Galway roads

Ennis’s plumbers, electricians, builders, tilers, mechanics and landscapers work mid Clare: Clarecastle, Quin, Tulla, Corofin, Crusheen, Newmarket-on-Fergus, and some of them Shannon. The site should say so, in sentences, and the service area on Google should match. A trade that says Ennis and nothing else loses the job in Quin to the next page.

Cafes, boutiques and the Instagram-only shops

The cafes, boutiques, florists and gift shops in the lanes photograph well, and a good number of them live on Instagram and nowhere else. Instagram reaches the people who already follow. It does not reach the Saturday visitor or the new arrival searching Google, and it gives the AI tools nothing to read. We have written about what a site does that Instagram cannot.

Plans

Essentials is €499 to set up and €50 a month. Complete is €1,499 and €100 a month, with bookings, payments, chat and the Google listing managed monthly. The pricing page has the full comparison, and the music teachers page shows how lesson bookings work on a site.

Questions from Ennis

Do you come to Ennis?

No. We are a Dublin business and we work with Ennis clients remotely: a video call to start, your photos and details on WhatsApp, the site built from those and live within days. Changes afterwards are a message, and you have your own edit page for hours and prices.

I teach music and most of my pupils come through word of mouth. Is a site worth it?

Word of mouth brings the pupils who know someone. The family that moved to Ennis in August knows nobody and searches. A one-page site saying what you teach, where, what a lesson costs and how to book, plus a Google listing, puts you in that search. Essentials covers it.

Can my salon take bookings with deposits for the Fleadh weekend?

Yes, with Complete: services, staff, reminders and a deposit you can switch on for busy weekends. If you already use Fresha or Booksy we connect it rather than replace it, so the site and the app show the same slots.

What are the prices?

Essentials is €499 up front and €50 a month. Complete is €1,499 up front and €100 a month. VAT is added, there is no contract and the domain is registered in your name.
