Dublin, in person

Website design in Inchicore

Walk Emmet Road from the Kilmainham end to Inchicore village and you can read the last twenty years in the shopfronts. The old trade is still there: butchers, bookies, hardware, and the pubs that have served the railway works for generations, the works themselves having been there since the 1840s. Beside them are the newer arrivals, coffee places with a Saturday morning queue and barbers that take bookings online. Tyrconnell Road runs down from the village towards Goldenbridge and the Grand Canal, with the Luas red line at the bottom. Website design in Inchicore means building for both halves of that street, and we come to the shop to do it. We are Dublin based and we meet owners here in person.

Who is walking past now

Inchicore’s older population is still here, and still loyal to the shops it knows. But the area has filled with new people: couples priced out of the eastern end of Dublin 8, renters in the apartment blocks that have gone up around Kilmainham and the canal, Luas commuters who get off at Goldenbridge or Blackhorse and walk home. These people search for everything. “Cafe Inchicore.” “Barber Dublin 8.” “Physio near Goldenbridge Luas.” They check reviews, they check hours, they look at the photos, and they go where the information is.

Match nights at Richmond Park bring another crowd through, St Pat’s supporters looking for a pint and a chipper before and after, most of them searching on the walk from the Luas.

What a shop on Emmet Road needs online

Honestly, not much, but the right things. A page that loads fast on a phone, with the name, what you do and Inchicore in the first line. Hours, including the days you close. Prices, or the menu as text. Photos of the actual place. Buttons for call, WhatsApp and directions. The Google Business Profile set up and verified with the correct pin, because Emmet Road and Tyrconnell Road are long and a pin at the wrong end sends people walking the wrong way. And the D08 routing key on the address, since Inchicore is Dublin 8 and people search both names.

For a cafe on our Complete plan we add the review request after a visit and a chat assistant that answers “do you do oat milk” and “are you open Sunday” from the details you give us. For a barber, online booking that cuts the no-shows.

Trades from Inchicore

Plenty of electricians, painters, plumbers and tilers live in Inchicore and work Kilmainham, Ballyfermot, Drimnagh and the city. A trade’s site here should say Inchicore is home and name the places covered as a service area, so a search from Ballyfermot finds you without the page pretending to be in Ballyfermot. Photos of finished jobs matter more than words. So do the reviews, and on Complete we set up the text that asks for one after each job.

The Instagram-only shops

Inchicore’s newer cafes and barbers often run entirely on Instagram, and the older trades often run on nothing at all. Instagram is good for the people who already follow you and useless for the person who moved onto a road off Tyrconnell Road last month and searched “coffee near me” from their kitchen. A single page catches that person. If you are wondering whether a site is worth it alongside Instagram, we wrote about whether you need a website if you have Instagram.

Plans

Essentials, at €499 to set up and €50 a month, covers the site, the .ie domain, hosting, the Google listing and a self-edit page for hours and photos. Questions from Inchicore

Do you meet in Inchicore?

Yes. We are based in Dublin and we come to the shop on Emmet Road or Tyrconnell Road, or wherever you are. A quiet half hour is enough to get hours, prices and photos, and most sites are live within days.

My cafe does fine on Instagram. Why would I add a website?

Instagram reaches the people who already follow you. The new resident searching 'coffee near us' from a flat near Goldenbridge is on Google, and sees whoever has a verified listing, hours and a menu. A one-page site fills that gap and takes a few hours of your time to start.

Can I change the menu and the hours myself?

Yes. Every site comes with a private edit page that opens from an email link, no password, where you change hours, prices, photos and announcements from your phone. Anything bigger you send us on WhatsApp.

What does it cost for an Inchicore business?

Essentials is €499 to set up and €50 a month. Complete, with bookings, payments, review growth and chat, is €1,499 and €100 a month. No contract, and you keep the domain.

Run a business in Inchicore?

Send us the name of the business and what you do. We will tell you which plan fits, what it costs and what we need from you.
