Dublin, in person

Website design in Portmarnock

Most of Dublin knows Portmarnock for the beach. The Velvet Strand stretches along the front, the golf links sit on the dunes at the south end, and on any warm weekend the car park and Strand Road fill with people from everywhere else. The people who live here know a different place: a commuter village on the DART with a small centre of shops, cafes and clinics, schools and sports clubs, and a steady need for plumbers, electricians, gardeners and childcare. Website design in Portmarnock has to work for both sets of customers, and they search quite differently. We are Dublin based and we come out to meet you here in person.

The visitor searches in the moment: “coffee Portmarnock”, “ice cream near me”, “lunch near Portmarnock golf”. They want hours, a map pin and a photo, and they decide in seconds. If you are a cafe within walking distance of the strand, the summer trade you pick up from those searches depends almost entirely on your Google listing being correct and your page loading fast on a phone with a weak signal by the dunes.

The resident searches with more care. “Dentist Portmarnock”, “pilates Portmarnock”, “physio near Malahide”, “electrician Portmarnock reviews”. They compare, they read a couple of reviews, they check whether they can book online, and they often do it on the train. A business that lives on resident trade needs the booking, the prices and the reviews in front of them, not a photo of the beach.

The village and its neighbours

Portmarnock sits between Malahide to the north and Baldoyle and Sutton to the south, with the Coast Road joining them along the water and the DART station a walk inland from the beach. People move between those villages for everything, so a Portmarnock clinic or salon draws from Malahide and Baldoyle as a matter of course. The site should say so in plain sentences rather than hoping Google guesses.

There is no postal district shorthand for the area in search the way there is for Dublin 13 next door, so the village name does the work. We put Portmarnock in the page titles and the structured data once, name the neighbouring villages where it is true, and set up the Google Business Profile with the right category and area. If the background interests you, we have explained what local SEO actually involves in plain words.

Bookings matter more here

Portmarnock has a lot of appointment businesses for its size: dentists, physios, pilates and yoga studios, beauty salons, personal trainers. Their customers are organised people with calendars, and they expect to book from the phone at nine at night rather than ring at nine in the morning. On Complete the booking runs on your own site, with reminders and a deposit if you want one, or we connect the system you already use. We have written up how to take online bookings if you want to compare the options before we talk.

Photos, Instagram and the proper page

The cafes and salons here are often beautifully photographed on Instagram and have no site at all. Instagram shows the visitor what you look like; it does not show Google your hours, it does not take a booking, and it does not belong to you. A proper page on your own .ie domain carries the hours, the prices and the booking, and we can pull your best photos onto it so the two work together.

The plans

Essentials is €499 to set up and €50 a month; Complete is €1,499 and €100 a month with bookings, payments, review growth and monthly Google management. Both exclude VAT and have no contract. The pricing page lists everything, and the cafes page shows a working example of a cafe site.

Questions from Portmarnock

Do you meet in Portmarnock or do I come to you?

We come to you. We are based in Dublin, and a cafe on Strand Road or a clinic in the village is an easy trip. Ten minutes with your hours, your prices and some photos is enough for us to start building.

A lot of my clients come from Malahide. Should the site be about Malahide too?

It should mention it honestly. The site names Portmarnock as your base and says plainly that you see clients from Malahide, Baldoyle and Sutton. On Complete we can add a page for each of those places over time, written separately rather than copied.

Can I keep my Fresha or Booksy bookings?

Yes. If you already use a booking system we connect it to the site rather than replacing it. If you do not, the booking can run on the site itself with reminders and deposits.

How much is it?

Essentials is €499 to set up and €50 a month. Complete is €1,499 and €100 a month. No contract, 30 days' notice, prices exclude VAT, and the domain and content are yours.
